We are arriving Baoshan June 18 Mariner of the Seas. There will be 4 of us. Am I correct in thinking that we will need to walk out of the port gates to get a taxi and will one be enough for the four of us. Can anyone tell me approximately how much we would be for the taxi to Holiday Inn Downtown and can we change money at the cruise terminal.
Also is the railway station near the Holiday inn the one we need to get the bullet train to Beijing. Your help with this would be greatly appreciated. Interested in the replies here, we are on the same cruise heading to the same hotel! Yes there might be a few interested to see the replies seeing we have to find our own way to the hotel. We are so much looking forward to the trip. The hotel is next to Shanghai railway station, from where there should be a few G trains to Beijing.

If you want to take trains from Hongqiao station, you will need to change subway line taxi in Shanghai is so cheap, take the advantage of it. Hi, we are on the same cruise and looking for transport. Had 1 quote for USD for a 12 seat bus. Hopefully some more replies. Baoshan port is around 24km far aways from holiday inn downtown hotel.
The hotel is close to railway station, but most of bullet trains between shanghai and beijing are from Shanghai hongqiao railway station, which is about 30min by driving. Thanks for your reply and will enquire if there is a shuttle bus supplied by the cruise company although travel agent gave no indication of this.
